According to some gamers, myself included, the Xbox 360 was rushed out too early so that it could hit the market for the Christmas season, as well as be unveiled at a number of popular gaming conventions such the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. 2. Buy a new console. $425 is a lot of money and I couldn't afford it at the time so this really wasn't a viable option.
3. Repair the blinking red light ring myself, if it was actually possible to do so.
