Your Xbox 360 Has a Blinking Red Light Ring - What Should You Do?

According to some gamers, myself included, the Xbox 360 was rushed out too early so that it could hit the market for the Christmas season, as well as be unveiled at a number of popular gaming conventions such the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. I had used a number of both Windows and Apple Macintosh products in the past but when I bought the Xbox 360, I had been using an iMac for a few years. Also, I was still gaming away on my old Playstation 2!

Attracted by the impressive selection of games and great graphics, I bought my Xbox 360 console for $450. Next, I bought a couple of games to test it out - the total cost of my new gaming experience was just under $600. The more I played, the more fun I had until one day I turned on my console to find that it just shut down and wasn't working. Plugging the leads in again had no effect on the problem, nor did restarting the console.

Looking on the power ring at the front of the console I noticed a ring of red lights that were blinking. Because I worked in the electronics industry I was well aware that this blinking ring of red lights wasn't a good thing and could indicate some serious trouble. After searching the Internet I found that there were three options available to get me back to gaming. These were:

1. Ship the console back to Microsoft so that they could repair the blinking red light ring. Although this seemed like a good option at the time, further investigation revealed that it would take at least a couple of months to receive a new console, plus there was no guarantee that the new console would not suffer the same fault again.

2. Buy a new console. $425 is a lot of money and I couldn't afford it at the time so this really wasn't a viable option.

3. Repair the blinking red light ring myself, if it was actually possible to do so.

After more searching, the solution I found that actually worked was the "Xbox 360 3 Red Light Fix: Pro Gamer Edition". This was a series of high quality videos with a companion PDF guide and members only website that showed me step-by-step how to repair the blinking red light ring on my Xbox 360 in around an hour. Even if you are not very technically inclined I believe that "Xbox 360 3 Red Light Fix: Pro Gamer Edition" is simple and straightforward enough for you to be able to fix your broken Xbox 360. I certainly found it very easy to use with its clear video and comprehensive written instructions.
