How To Turn Your iPod Into TV

The Apple iPod is synonymous with mobile audio and music, and with the launching of the video-capable iPod, music lovers not only will enjoy the audio but also video.

Herein lies the problem - the apple iPod screen is only 2.5 inches, and there is no doubt that viewing pleasure can be increased when we can have a bigger video screen.

How then can the iPod have a bigger viewing screen - so as to be considered a mobile TV as well?

To convert your iPod into a Mobile TV, all you need to do is to get a MicroOptical Goggles.

You can wear this goggle over your regular spectacles or eyeglasses, and where you do not feel comfortable, you can do so over your contact lenses.

The goggles is fairly light at 70 g, with a belt clip that holds the iPod and the battery pack of 3 AAA-batteries. A cable connects to the iPod headphone port.

These goggles will deliver the image from two tiny LCDs through a series of lenses directly to the eyes so that you can watch video on what looks like a 27 inch screen TV!

Now, if you are always on the go and travelling, and you need to research or study or to get information from video clips, you can now enjoy 27" equivalency viewing with the apple iPod.

The only drawback is the cost of the MicroOptical Corp Goggles, which, however is expected to drop with demand. Without the goggles, you have to tolerate the viewing from the 2.5 inch screen from the iPod, or dish out around $269 for the Goggles and start to enjoy Mobile TV using the iPod.

With the development of technology, soon the battery pack consisting of the 3-AAA size batteries will disappear, making it more light weight!

Indeed, there is nothing to hold back the iPod from developing into the music player and mobile TV player if you can afford the cost of the goggles.

Peter Lim is a Certified Financial Planner who is amazed with the development of technology with the iPod and follow iPod trends. He shares his research findings and make available FREE resources to help others who are looking to buy their first iPod or those who need to get the latest information on iPods at his website http://apple-ipods-sale.revenuemonitor.biz

Stranger Than Fiction

I recently had the pleasure of watching Marc Forsters film, Stranger Than Fiction, which I found to be a delightfully charming, intelligent comedy written by first-time screenwriter Zach Helm. I give it two guitars up. Way up. (Platonically speaking of course).

Its about an uptight IRS agent, Harold Crick (Will Ferrell), who realizes that his mundane life is being narrated by the voice of a chain-smoking novelist played by Emma Thompson. The novelist is suffering from a bad case of writers block and is on the verge of a nervous breakdown because she cant decide the ending to her story.

Going mad with the constant narration in his head that accurately predicts his every move, Crick solicits the help of a literature professor (Dustin Hoffman) to help find his voice. To his utter shock and dismay, Crick learns that the voice of his narrator belongs to this eccentric author that writes tragedies in which her heroes are killed off.

But Crick does not want to die! For the first time in his life he is discovering who he really is and what his true passions are. He sets out to meet the author with the determination to alter his fate. And upon meeting, the two worlds collide. The author is petrified to see that her main character has come to life and that he is very real indeed.

I can certainly relate to this movie as a writer working on my first inspirational novel. The movie raises some intriguing questions: What does it mean to be real? To find ones voice? To express ones voice? Who is narrating our story? Can fate be altered? Where do the boundaries of fiction and non-fiction collide?

I certainly dont pretend to know the answers. I can only share my perspective as a writer. One of the challenges writers face is to know their characters inside and out and to have a complete understanding of the world they have created so that everything magically comes to life. As the story-writing guru, Robert McKee, likes to say, Not a sparrow should fall in the world of a writer that he wouldnt know.

I believe in a sense that we are all writers. We are writers of our own play. In The Hero Soul (http://www.HeroSoul.com), I close the last chapter of my book with a quote from Shakespeare:

All the worlds a stage,

And all the men and women merely players.

They have their exits and their entrances,

And one man in his time plays many parts,

His acts being seven ages.

The world is a stage upon which we perform. Each age consisting of the acts and scenes of the play. But its our play. We choose how we act in each scene moment by moment. What type of play do you want to write? What type of a life do you want to live?

Realizing that he is going to be killed off, Harold Crick asks the literary professor for advice. The professor gives him a deceptively simple answer, Go live your life! Do what you love to do!

At first, Crick is offended by the professors triteness; but he realizes later that he has no control over his mortality and decides to do just that: live his life. Hes always wanted to play the guitar but never really had the time. For the first time in his life he walks into a guitar shop and sees this wicked turquoise guitar starring back at him. He picks up the guitar and begins strumming. In that moment his life is transformed from a tragedy into a divine comedy.

What have we been denying ourselves? What type of play do we want to have a starring role in? Sometimes we act in an If Only play with a bit part in shoulding all over ourselves until we are mired deep in our own pile of dung. I should write a novel. I should exercise. I should be a painter. I should start my own business. I should go on a dream vacation. If only I was younger. If only I was older. If only I had the money. If only I had the time.

In the professional world of writing there is a clause known as the kill fee. The kill fee is a fee paid by the editor to the writer for an assigned piece of writing that is killed off and never published. Its usually a percentage of the total amount that was originally agreed upon between the editor and writer. Although there can be many reasons for rejecting a piece, the kill fee is often executed because the writing simply isnt up to par.

When were not being our best selves, when were not expressing our unique voice, when were not being true to ourselves and not doing what we love to do, something inside of us dies. Life then pays us a kill fee: something less than what we truly deserve.

Are we living a life thats worthy of being published, or will we live a life of mediocrity and accept the kill fee thats assigned to us?

How to Copy PS3 Games the Easy Way

If you are like me you have probably wondered how to copy Ps3 games. Well I spent hours upon hours surfing the internet trying to find out if there indeed was a way to copy my Ps3 games. You see I have small brothers and sisters who love nothing more than playing on my Ps3. But when it comes to being careful, it's the last thing they think about and it's because of them that I've had 2 perfectly good Ps3 games go to waste. They don't realize the importance of handling the disks carefully because they are easy to damage and they are very easy to scratch.

While the technological advances of the DVD and Blu ray disk are many, the fact that they are still in a disk format is a bit of a downfall. The disks themselves are very easy to damage and when you are paying in excess of $100 a game the last thing you want is for the game disks to be damaged.

My solution for this was to find out how to copy Ps3 games so that I could make copies of my game collection and then store the original away in a nice safe place, makes sense doesn't it? This way if my brothers and sister accidentally scratched or damaged my backup disk I could easily make another and not have to worry about flushing another $100 down the toilet.

So after many fruitless hours of searching I found a couple of ways that showed me how to copy Ps3 games. The first way required me downloading and installing several different software programs to read the disk and make images and then backups. This would have been quite effective if I could get some of the software to install, I had a few problems with some of them and the tutorial I was using was based on using previous software versions and so it took an age for me to actually make a backup, notwithstanding the fact that I had to install and uninstall 3 other programs that wouldn't work, but in the end i got a successful Ps3 backup.

After thinking to myself "there has to be an easier way" i was lucky enough to find a software product which proclaimed to be able to backup Ps3 games easily. Now this product did cost but the price was small compared to what it proclaimed to be able to do. Not only did it say it could copy Ps3 games but it could also copy any mainstream console game brought out in the last 10 years (Xbox 360, Wii, Ps2, Xbox etc) so I whipped out my credit card, purchased the product and installed it on my computer.

Boy was I glad I did, this made the process simple. Insert original Ps3 game, launch the software, wait for it to make an image, insert media to burn to and that's all there was to it. Basically a one step process for backing up Ps3 games.

So if you are still wondering how to copy Ps3 games then I suggest you visit the site below for the one step easy way to accomplish this.

The Creighton Medical Center is seen in Omaha, Neb., in this photo from Sept. 25, 2008. A teen from Michigan has been dropped off at the Creighton Medical Center by at least one of his parents early Monday morning. It is the second out-of-state teenager who has been abandoned in Nebraska under the state's vaguely worded Safe Haven law, which allows children as old as 18 to be abandoned at hospitals without fear of prosecution. (AP Photo/Nati Harnik)AP - A 15-year-old girl was abandoned by her father Tuesday night at an Omaha hospital, bringing to 22 the number of children left under the state's unique safe-haven law since it took effect in July.
