What About Nintendo Wii??

Nintendo Wii Active Gaming The Nintendo Wii is a revolutionary gaming system that allows you to really feel like you are doing the games you are playing. Right out of the box it is ready for you to enjoy.

With Wii Sports you can play five sports right in your home and feel almost like you are playing for real. You can take the court with tennis, hit the lanes in bowling, take the field in baseball, visit the green in golf, and step into the ring in boxing. Besides Wii Sports there several other sports games have been released for the Nintendo Wii that use the revolutionary capabilities of the Wii to create an active video game experience. Just a two examples are Showtime Championship Boxing and Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games. Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games is among the more interesting somewhat active games considering it has several different games to play and can be fun as a multiplayer game. The games are not always very active, but it does have some good active games including rowing and the swimming events.

There are also several other Nintendo Wii games out there that are active, although, you have to be selective as some are just regular video games that do not use the active capabilities of the Wii. One of the best active games that has been released is Wii Fit. This game is an interactive exercise video game. The closest thing it can be compared to is an exercise video, but it is much more than just that. It further makes the Nintendo Wii revolutionary through the addition of the Wii balance board, which gives the added functionality that allows you to do the included exercises and activities as an interactive video gaming experience with the Nintendo Wii.

To some of the more hardcore gamers the Wii Fit may seem too explicitly like exercising to be enjoyable as a video game. There are still other fun active gaming options, such as the snow skiing game called We Ski, which uses the balance board as skis and the Wii remote and nunchuck as ski poles.

Another good active game for the Nintendo Wii is Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party. This game is available for several gaming systems, but the Wii version makes the game more active than the others. Beyond giving your legs a workout with the dance pad the Wii version adds hand gestures by using the motion sensing technology of the Wii remote and nunchuck. This makes it a fun dancing video game that is active gaming for the whole body.

Another option for more active Nintendo Wii video gaming is Rock Band, especially if you play the drums. There are several other more interesting games that involve doing arm movements including Rayman Raving Rabbids. This is one of the more traditional video game like games that ends up involving a good amount of arm movement mostly involving you shaking the Wii remote and nunchuck up and down.

Nintendo DS - Always Up To the Mark

The new Nintendo DS is a handheld game console from Nintendo that succeeded in invading the hearts of the game loving users with its striking features and characteristics. This gaming console released in 2004 in Canada, U.S., and Japan features a clamshell design, which is almost same to the Game Boy Advance SP, with two LCD screens inside, one of which is a touchscreen. The Nintendo DS gaming console features a built-in microphone and supports wireless IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) standards, permitting players to interact with each other within short range (10-30 m, depending on conditions) or online with the Nintendo Wi-fi Connection service, that launched later in the console's lifespan. This model is the first game console from Nintendo that was released in North America prior to Japan.

Nitro was the code name of the system and this can be seen in the model codes that appear on the unit. The console's name officially refers to "Developers' System", in reference to the new game design the system was meant to inspire, and "Dual Screen", the system's most obvious feature.

It was on March 2, 2006, that Nintendo released the new DS Lite, a redesign of the Nintendo DS, in Japan resulting a new revolution in the field of gaming devices. It later got released in North America, Europe and Australia in June 2006. This latest model from Nintendo, DS Lite is the slimmer and lighter version of the DS and has brighter screens. Nintendo announced on the release of the new console on November 13, 2003. And it also clarified that it would not be the successor to either the Nintendo Game Cube or the Game Boy Advance SP, but will be a "third pillar" alongside the two consoles. The Nintendo DS bears a striking resemblance to Nintendo's first handheld, the Game and Watch, specifically the multi-screen versions such as Donkey Kong.

An Introduction to the Fairy Tale

Once upon a time people told each other stories of great and dark deeds, of hopes, of dreams, and fears. They told stories for entertainment on long nights after hard days, and perhaps to help transmit their culture and ideas. Certainly many such stories hold great moral messages, and for some of these this message is the central theme of the story. However despite any attempts to teach messages and transfer culture events happened to them beyond their control.

For these people the peasants who told these stories had very little control over the world, so as they passed their stories on from generation to generation something happened, their cultures changed, over and over again, so that the concerns and thoughts of the people changed, some of these changes took years, others where dramatic from conversions to new religions, famines that drove them from their homes, and invaders from other lands. And as these people changed so to did their stories, morphing and evolving, these stories that were passed from culture to culture from person to person would grow becoming a mean of the humanity from whence they came, and while such stories will always reflect the time that they come from they will reflect in some way thousands of years of human history, for the thoughts, fears, hopes, dreams, and lives of thousands if not millions of people back each story.

These people who told stories went through cycles, cycles of prosperity and of unparalleled poverty and horror, from times when starvation required the abandonment of children, to times when raging hoards from unknown lands destroyed everything that they held dear. Diseases swept the villages, with unknown causes the illnesses killed half the population prompting philosophers to advice parents not to get close to their children.

At the same time these people experience triumph as they built a Renaissance, found room to dream, had children they loved, and a spouse who loved them. Many of these people even experienced the courage to stand up against the darkness, to overthrow their lords and to hope for a better future.

This is the world of fairy tales, a strange world of magic and unparalleled human emotion. These stories are often the raw uncensored fears of the humans who created them, from dark woodlands to cannibals, incest, and wicked stepmothers, these stories tell of human history and human thought as few other things can. For as means of humanity folktales are not the thoughts and aspirations of one person but of generations upon generations of people. And each person has their own hopes, fears, and dreams. The fact that so many people have touched on fairy tales makes their interpretation in the historical purposes very difficult. For many symbols that made the first story significant have been altered, or taken out completely, replaced by new thoughts and ideas. Interpretation then is a puzzle one pieced together by looking at history, and culture, as much as at the story itself.
