Xbox Gaming Tips

This article is actually regarding the original Xbox and not it's successor, the Xbox 360. The Xbox gaming tips in this article are anything and everything related to the xbox.

You know, some would say that the Xbox is obsolete, but I couldn't disagree more. There are a lot of good video games for that system that could have easily been missed by many people. The reason for this is because there are so many games being released nowadays, missing those "hidden gems" is actually quite easy. Also, because the gap in graphics between each console generation has decreased, the "sore eyes" syndrome is not as much as a problem as it was in the past.

Purchasing an Xbox console is a great tip in and of itself. The reason being, you can find them for pretty cheap and still get your money's worth (more on that later). The fact remains that next-generation consoles are still quite expensive, and it will still be awhile before prices go down.

The value of used games. Speaking of getting your money's worth, there are bucket loads upon bucket loads of used Xbox games, it's ridiculous (in a good way). Not only that, but you can find them, quite easily, at dirt cheap prices. This is where value surpasses price big time. Not too long ago I just purchased Ninja Gaiden for my Xbox for 5 bucks. Yes, 5 bucks! With a game that good, I'd be more than willing to fork out the 5 dollars. Which leads me to my next Xbox gaming tip...

Hidden Gems. Remember those games you've always wanted to play for the Xbox but never got a chance to play. Now you can play them, for dirt cheap. You'd be surprised at how many great games you can find that you either couldn't remember you wanted to play or great games you didn't even know existed. Halo, Halo 2, Silent Hill 4, Fable, Max Payne, and the list goes on and on.

So there you have it, those are your Xbox gaming tips. What are you waiting for? Grab yourself an Xbox and start having a good time!

X Box 360 "Ninja Gaiden II" Review

This video game is a beautifully designed, graphically alluring, and completely not the kind of game you want your eight year old to play. But if you are looking for the ultimate fighting demons and monsters type of video game, X Box 360 has one just for you.

The features in this very realistic battle to the death video game are enhanced to the point that you won't believe your eyes. The blood looks incredibly real, even if you are playing very close to the screen.

If you are familiar with the original "Ninja Gaiden" you will find the "Ninja Gaiden II" has some dramatic new changes such as bigger areas to fight in, more opponents to fight and enlarged the size of opponents. There are also new weapons to choose from which you can upgrade as you move forward through the video game. X Box 360 has done a bang up job improving on what was already a great game. They have kept the aspect of magic but there is no more importance in making better monsters or demons than solving puzzles and such.

This video game does include a story line but the best part of the game is the fighting and killing of the beasts and the friends that go along with them. The weapons of choice are the swords and the ability to upgrade your sword enables you to kill bigger and more dangerous monsters. Only certain swords will kill certain monsters, so the levels you complete, the better your sword is, the better chance you have to make it through this addictive video game.

The original "Ninja Gaiden" in my opinion, was a bit more challenging than what X Box 360 created with this second edition. However, that could simply be because I am accustomed to the first game and thus the second one seemed a bit easier, although still quite challenging and entertaining. Newcomers to the video game might not think so, as they have not had the experience from the first edition; either way, this video game is well worth the time and energy you put into it and I recommend it if you are looking to kick some serious monster butt.

Surviving the Xbox 360 Red Lights of Death

When Xbox 360 hit the market, it was the hottest gaming system available. Users did not mind the $300 to $400 price tag attached to the system. They didn't even mind the waiting list for popular games. There was one single aspect to owning an Xbox 360 gaming system that had heart stopping results.

The dreaded Xbox 360 three red lights of death caused more fear than Halo 3 being taken off the market.

The Xbox 360 3 flashing red lights signaled imminent doom for an Xbox gaming system.

Users cited systems over heating; poor manufacturing and instability on store shelves as reasons behind the Xbox 360 ring of red lights appearing on the console. Watching the ring of green lights slowly turn to red one at a time instilled fear in even the most experienced gamer.

Before calling 911 to respond to fix Xbox 360 3 red lights, there are a few basic steps owners can take. First step is to take a deep breathe and know that all is not lost. The system can be repaired.

A call to customer support will start the process of how to fix three red lights on Xbox 360. Customer support will simply instruct the owner to unplug all cables from the unit. Wait a few seconds and then re plug everything back in.

Once the system has had a few moments to rest, it should be ready to be rebooted. If this step fails, a user can remove the hard drive and attempt to reboot again. These two steps are typically all that are needed to get the system up and running again.

Users typically put a lot of strain on the gaming system by playing it constantly. Xbox 360 needs time to rest and regroup before carrying out continuous play. Then it is business as usual.

Technology in Heart Surgeries

If you are in need of cardiothoracic surgery there are places using the latest in technology that help speed up your recover and improve your chances of less trauma to your body. The name of this technology is the da Vinci robot and it is one of the latest developments in surgical technology. This robot does not operate on you like R2D2 could. It doesn't have any computing power with which to think on its own. It is more of an extension of the surgeon's arms and allows the surgeon to be very precise. Surgeons are very good at what they do and many have extremely fine motor skills but it is hard to be as precise as a robot can be. The robot doesn't move unless you move it. It doesn't shake unless there is an earthquake and it doesn't have any second doubts. With this precision comes a few benefits.

One is the size of the incision. A smaller incision results in less blood loss and less trauma to the operation site on the body. This often results in a quicker recovery time and less scarring. These incisions can also save the patient from the pain and trauma of sternotomy and rib spreading and allows the incisions to be made on the side of the body. This type of robotic heart surgery also may result in less risk of infection, less blood loss and need for blood transfusions, a shorter hospital stay, faster recovery, considerably less pain and scarring and a quicker return to normal activities. The long term survival rate may also be improved. Some forms of robotic surgery also have other advantages.

One common use of the da Vinci robot is to repair the mitral valve as an alternative to open heart surgery. This operation allows the surgeon to use very small incisions and have unparalleled precision to repair the valve while possibly increasing the likelihood of success without using artificial valves. There is a great deal of information on this topic that is available for those who may be candidates for this type of surgery. Repair to the valve is preferable in many cases and may provide you with many significant advantages as compared to having the valve replaced with and artificial valve. Some of these advantages may include not having to take life-long blood thinners, less need for a reoperation, reduced risk of some surgical complications, improved heart function and a higher probably of a long term survival rate. Some studies show that the da Vince robotic operating system may allow surgeons to complete as much as fifty percent more repairs to the valve than they could using an open surgical approach. As with any surgery these benefits cannot be guaranteed even though using the da Vinci robot is considered safe and effective, it may not be appropriate for every individual.

If you are a potential candidate for cardiothoracic surgery then you may want to consider checking with your doctor to see if using the da Vinci robot is an alternative for you. Robotic heart surgery may be an incredible advantage in some surgeries both today and in the future.
