Football Video Games on the PS3

For about two centuries, football has been an extremely popular sport all over the world. This pastime's popularity has led to things other than the actual playing of the sport itself. Sports fanatics all over the world can read about it, talk about it, even play it virtually. As technology advances, so do video game consoles. We've had the Atari, the Nintendo, and the Playstation. Then we had the X-Box, N64, and Playstation 2. Today, we have X-Box Live, Nintendo 360, and PS3.

As video games advance, we have must have games to play on them. As football is known all over the world, why not create video games for it, so that one can play it from the comfort of one's own home? So, for those football fans out there who are looking for games to play on their new PS3s, here are a few great finds:

FIFA Street 3, the third arcade soccer game of its kind, was released earlier this year. Reviewers give it a 6.5 on a 10 point scale, making it a fair rating. It costs about $30 at most major retailers.

UEFA Euro 2008 was released about a week after Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. However, it was given an 8.0 on a 10 point scale, giving this one a great rating. It has realistically modeled players, as well as over 50 European teams, not to mention the fact that it is the officially licensed game of the UEFA championship. It runs at about $50 at the major retailers.

Israel demanded international monitors as a key term of any future truce with Gaza Strip militants, as its warplanes bombed the parliament building in Gaza City on Thursday and its ships attacked coastline positions of the territory's Islamic Hamas rulers. (AP Photo/Tara Todras-Whitehill)AP - Israel's crushing aerial assault on Gaza has caused a significant shift in the country's mood, replacing lingering helplessness and frustration over Hamas rocket attacks with a sense of might and vindication.
