Football Video Games on the PS3

For about two centuries, football has been an extremely popular sport all over the world. This pastime's popularity has led to things other than the actual playing of the sport itself. Sports fanatics all over the world can read about it, talk about it, even play it virtually. As technology advances, so do video game consoles. We've had the Atari, the Nintendo, and the Playstation. Then we had the X-Box, N64, and Playstation 2. Today, we have X-Box Live, Nintendo 360, and PS3.

As video games advance, we have must have games to play on them. As football is known all over the world, why not create video games for it, so that one can play it from the comfort of one's own home? So, for those football fans out there who are looking for games to play on their new PS3s, here are a few great finds:

FIFA Street 3, the third arcade soccer game of its kind, was released earlier this year. Reviewers give it a 6.5 on a 10 point scale, making it a fair rating. It costs about $30 at most major retailers.

UEFA Euro 2008 was released about a week after Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. However, it was given an 8.0 on a 10 point scale, giving this one a great rating. It has realistically modeled players, as well as over 50 European teams, not to mention the fact that it is the officially licensed game of the UEFA championship. It runs at about $50 at the major retailers.

Financial Wizardry at Work - Frozen Money Technology

Thanks to the ingenuity of Louisiana Democrat William Jefferson, several innovations have been introduced to keep your money safe. Jefferson expanded the idea of cold, hard cash, and took it one step further by freezing it, thereby causing his own cash to become even colder and harder.

My company will be selling plastic bags, specially formulated to freeze cash safely and prevent freezer-burn. These bags, however, will be opaque. You'll be able to label them as "turkey," "beef," or any other food you can imagine. A casual glance inside your freezer will only reveal dark colored bags, and not the fortune you've acquired from bribery.

After you've labeled your "bags," be sure to write down a legend. For example: turkey = $1000 in twenties, beef = $10,000 in hundreds, and so forth. Tape the legend in a secure place, another major appliance perhaps. The top of your microwave oven is one option. Another secret location to hide your treasure map could be inside your dishwasher. Perhaps you could even buy a second freezer and hide it inside, along with your actual frozen meats and vegetables.

Once you have your money and treasure map stored safely, go to your bank and tell them you'd like to make a deposit. Then throw up five pounds of ground beef and two frozen bags of corn onto the teller's window. Ask the teller how long it will take for your beef and corn to double in volume or value. If they look at you queerly, explain that you're there because of advice you received while visiting Mental Dimensions. If that doesn't take away the teller's look of puzzlement, throw a frozen bag of peas at his or her face and run away very quickly.

During your running, you may need a place to hide. If you pass by an appliance store, duck inside and quickly search for a freezer to hide in. Make sure the freezer is plugged into an outlet and turned on before you hop inside. If you're carrying any loose change on you, quickly throw it inside a nearby refrigerator. Remember the rule of thumb we've obtained from William Jefferson: "Cash needs to be frozen, but spare change needs only light refrigeration."

Rumor has it that Jefferson's next investment strategy will be to drown his remaining money into the freezing waters of the Arctic Ocean. Any interest earned will then be stored in containers filled with frozen nitrogen. His bail is expected to be set anywhere from 50,000 ice cubes - 150,000 sirloin steaks.

Dungeons and Dragons Online Wizard Race Guide

In Dungeons and Dragons Online a wizard can be very fun to play if you know how to properly utilize their skills and abilities. They have a large variety of spells that you can choose from and it must be chosen effectively. They have the advantage of range but their most fatal flaw is their defense and close combat. They lack the armors that a warrior or tank type can wear. Unlike most massive multiplayer online games, the wizard is more than just a high burst damage class. To begin, let's figure which race would be your choice.

In DDO, the humans gain an extra Feat at first level which is useful to all classes. The extra feat can be used on toughness for extra hit points or dodge. A wizard class needs a lot of boost on survivability. Dwarves start with +2 to constitution and a -2 to Charisma. Con bonus gives you extra HP and adds to concentration skill which will help a wizard cast while being attacked. The Cha penalty will not hurt too much on a wizard class. Dwarfs also get a +4 bonus to Balance skill. A dwarf is ideal for pleasure and roleplay but not for stat wise. Elves begin with +2 Dexterity and -2 to Constitution. A well played wizard should not get hit much in melee combat so the extra the Dex will be very handy when it comes to avoiding traps and spell effects. Another defensive stat. Elves also has a weapon proficiency as well as immunity to Sleep and resistance to spells such as Suggestion and Hold Person.

Elf is a very strong choice for a wizard class. Halflings get a +2 to Dexterity and a -2 to Strength. The Str stat does absolutely nothing for the wizard class. They also receive a +1 to AC as well as a stealth bonus. Halflings are also a good choice as they are a sneaky, small and good for party support. Warforged gets a +2 bonus to Constitution and -2 to both Wisdom and Charisma. Losing on Wisdom would hurt the most. Wisdom reduces the ability to shrug off many enchantments as well as their general resistance to many spells. A Warforged wizard gets Repair spells which you can use to act as your own cleric and damage dealer. Warforged wizards are not exactly the best class but can also have their benefits, especially when it comes to solo play.

Versatility and knowledge are a wizard's strong points. Play with your strengths and weakness and everything about your spells function in order to master a wizards true potential. You need to be able to understand how certain spells may have different effects on different type of monsters, learn how to kite, how much damage you deal to each mob and how many nukes it will take to kill that specific mob before it reaches you into close melee combat. A well built and well played wizard and be the difference between victory and victory against an overwhelming battle in DDO.

Tila Miles is an avid DDO fan. She has mastered many classes and wrote about her work in her blog. She has also written some DDO gold guides as well.

Play Pokemon Online Free - Fire Red and Leaf Green Game Boy Advance

This article is for anyone looking to play Pokemon Fire Red or Leaf Green Online. These games are more or less remakes of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Green. The only difference is there are more side quests, trainers, items, and Pokemon. It is definitely worth a replay if you have never played these versions.

You can also encounter new Legendary Pokemon after you beat the Elite Four. It's more than original Pokemon Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, and Mewtwo. You can now obtain the Togepi Egg on Island Five. If you have a Mystic Ticket you can board a ship to Navel Rock to battle with a Level 70 Lugia and Level 70 Ho-oh. On Birth Island you can fight Deoxy. Depending on your game version it will change Deoxy's appearance. In Fire Red Deoxy has ridiculous strength compared to Leaf Green having ridiculous defense. Either games Deoxy is definitely an asset.

There are a few ways to play these games online from your computer against your friends free. I figured this out of sheer boredom and coincidence. I was playing a rom of Leaf Green from my laptop and my friend was playing Fire Red from his computer. I checked the options of my emulator and discovered it is possible to connect to other computers to battle/trade. It is a common feature on most newer Gameboy emulators.

This option is recommended at your discretion as I deleted all mine for legal safety. It is a form of Internet Piracy. The other option is connecting to your friends directly with the hand held systems and games. Pokemon Battle Revolution will likely show the Wifi potential of the Wii as it is mainly a 2 on 2 battle system. It is Wii era Pokemon Stadium game to revive the titles popularity from Nintendo 64.

For those of you who are going to play Fire Red or Leaf Green online good luck on your journeys becoming a Pokemon Master.
